Drive in the Right Head Space:

Pause before you drive, because mindset matters as much as seatbelts.

Why It Matters

Driving is not just about knowing the rules of the road. It is about emotional readiness. Teens face stress, peer pressure, distraction, and real-life situations that can affect judgment the moment they grab the keys.

Safe driving begins before the engine starts.

How It Works

Drive in the Right Headspace is built around a simple 4-step pause framework:

  1. Pause

Take a breath before turning the key.

  2. Assess

Ask yourself: Am I tired? upset? distracted? rushing? trying to prove something?

  3. Decide

If you feel steady, drive. If not, reset, delay, or ask for support.

  4. Reset

Create a small ritual before every drive: buckle up, silence the phone, set your focus.

What We Are Building

  • School workshops where teens role-play real driving scenarios

  • Parent toolkits that support shared agreements and expectations

  • Social media campaigns such as Pause Before You Drive

  • Community partnerships that reinforce visual reminders in schools and local spaces

Why It Will Make a Difference

  • When teens learn to recognize their emotional state before driving, impulsive decisions decrease.

  • When families talk openly about mindset, trust and accountability increase.

  • When pausing becomes normal, safer roads follow.

We are building strong initiatives with clear direction and measurable goals. Your support accelerates their reach and impact.
